What your future responsibilities would be:
Located across three stunning locations — Stranda, Hellesylt, and Øye — the Sunnmøre Alps base is active year-round, with peak seasons in both Winter and Summer. The base also features a cozy coffee spot that welcomes both locals and international visitors.
As Uteguiden’s Location Manager for the Sunnmøre Alps, you’ll lead the daily operations, strategic development, and promotion of the adventure center. Your mission: to ensure exceptional guest experiences while strengthening community connections. This is a dynamic role that blends leadership and team management with product development, HR responsibilities, and community engagement — all aimed at driving the success of the location.
You’ll balance hands-on leadership with the development of key projects, including supervising the development and running of Hygge’s café, launching the ski school, and managing Stranda’s bouldering center.
Who you are:
- You have a strong leadership track record with demonstrated experience in direct management (supervision and organisation of a team), ideally in the tourism industry / fast moving corporate environments.
- You have experience in sales and / or in budget management
- You are able to plan, organize and follow-up on the activites of a muti-sited adventure base
- You are able to collaborate effectively across multisites and outside your own location, within a participative corporate culture.
- You are able to handle stress (there can be very busy times)
- You have good communication skills
- You are fluent in English / Norwegian a strong plus
- Experience in guiding is a strong advantage
